Surface Treatment Program - Rural Roads

The City of Welland is undertaking a surface treatment program along Grassy Brook Road, Schisler Road, and Darby Road. The proposed work will include the placement of a double surface treatment application.

Construction

• Full-width pulverizing
• Double surface treatment applications
• Shouldering as required
• Culvert replacement

Traffic Disruptions

• One-way traffic with flag persons through the construction zones when permissible (minor periods of road closures may be required throughout construction)
• Open to two-way traffic nightly and on weekends/holidays when permissible

Impacts to Private Property

• Driveway disruptions while construction is taking place

Next Steps

• Construction is anticipated to begin August 2024
