If so, you&#39;ve come to the right place.Whether you&#39;re considering running for mayor, city council, regional council, or school board trustee, or are a voter with a keen interest in shaping the City&#39;s future,we&#39;ve got the help and expertise of Welland City Clerk Tara Stephens to help answer all your election-related questions.And, if you&#39;re thinking of registering as a third-party advertiser, there&#39;s some critical information you&#39;ll want to know.Nominations closed on August 19 at 2 p.m.You can find all official paperwork, forms, and more at <a data-fr-linked="true" href="//www.welland.ca/elections">www.welland.ca/elections</a>.Interested in working the election? Hey, Welland! We need your feedback on council composition, so we&#39;re asking you to fill out this survey. We&#39;re gathering valuable insights from our residents about the City&rsquo;s views on how our current council structure represents you. As a community with diverse interests and evolving challenges, our decision-making must reflect the voice of Welland&rsquo;s citizens. Your feedback will help guide City Council as we plan for the future, ensuring we remain responsive to community needs and growth.This survey is part of a Notice of Motion from City Council, which produced a report on key issues that impact our community. The report was sent back to staff for further engagement with residents, and your feedback is a critical part of this process. And that&#39;s why we&#39;re here.Currently, Welland&rsquo;s City Council is composed of the Mayor and 12 elected Councillors, two each representing the city&rsquo;s six wards. Together, they bring a range of experiences and perspectives to the table, reflecting the diverse community they serve. City Council is responsible for setting policies, approving budgets, and making decisions that impact the quality of life for all Welland residents. By participating in this survey, you play an essential role in shaping the future of our community.
