The City is moving forward with planning a new recreation and community complex, building on the findings and insights we learned from the recent Arena Feasibility Study. Throughout that study, residents showed a clear, strong interest in a modern, multi-use facility that supports a wide range of recreational and community activities for all ages.

City Council responded by supporting the need for a new facility to meet these community expectations, improve how we deliver services, and realize operational efficiencies and modernization.

We’re now in the next phase of the project—gathering public feedback on conceptual designs, exploring partnership opportunities, and looking at project requirements, including funding strategies and potential revenue sources.

Community input is key as we shape this important investment in Welland’s future.
