In 2019, the City of Welland completed a Parks, Recreation, and Culture Master Plan (PRCMP) that outlines priorities and actions to guide delivery of services over the next 10 years. That plan includes a check-in at the five-year mark to review progress and make adjustments and adaptations to ensure the plan still meets the community’s needs. We have reached that middle point, and the City is undergoing a mid-term check-in that will result in recommendations for updating the PRCMP.

The PRCMP includes a number of recommendations to improve and consistently deliver quality recreation programs, facilities, and budgets. The project will seek the public's input through multiple engagement opportunities to help us understand how the current recreation, parks, and culture offerings are meeting community needs.

The goal of the project is to assess the progress made to date, ensure that the goals and recommendations are relevant for the current needs of the community, and outline a path forward to successful implementation of the remaining targets.

We want to hear from you—there’s still time!

The survey has been extended to May 2. Your ideas and insights matter and help shape the future of our parks, programs, and community spaces.
