Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Street Sewer Replacements

Subject to Council Approval, The City of Welland will be undertaking Sewer Replacements along Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Sixth Street, Canal Bank Street, Patsy Avenue, and Rices Lane. The proposed upgrades will include sanitary and storm sewer replacements, road reconstruction and sidewalk installation.

Construction

• New sanitary sewer and new storm sewer on Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Sixth Street, Canal Bank Street, and Patsy Avenue.
• New sanitary laterals installed to property line.
• Full road reconstruction of Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Sixth Street, Canal Bank Street and Patsy Avenue, including new curb and gutters. Road reconstruction on Rices Lane.
• New sidewalks on Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Sixth Street, Canal Bank Street, and Patsy Avenue.

Traffic Disruptions

• One-way traffic with Flag Persons through the construction zones when permissible.
• Open to two-way traffic at night and on weekends/holidays when permissible.

Impacts to Private Property

• Topsoil and sod to be reinstated where disturbed due to construction activities.
• Driveway closures will be required during concrete works and while curing. Advance notice to be provided to affected properties.
• Driveways that have been disturbed due to the construction will be reinstated to match existing material.
