Canal Bank Street Reconstruction and Realignment

As part of a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Welland, Empire Communities has committed to the reconstruction and realignment of Canal Bank Street from 500m south of Townline Tunnel Road to St. Clair Drive. The new alignment will facilitate the construction of a multi-use park adjacent to the Welland Recreational Canal. Empire Communities has retained Gibbons Contracting to complete the construction. Construction began in December of 2022 and will continue until completion. Construction activities and timing will be coordinated with the Cove Park and Dain West Subdivision construction projects.
